Why I Play in TIJ: After graduating college with an English degree, I knew I would not be happy unless I was paying my trumpet. When I returned from Busch Gardens, I sought local musical outlets and was recommended to the Truth in Jazz. I have always been into jazz and can remember my first experience buying an album: 9th grade, Kind of Blue. I could not think of a better way to stay playing than to participate in local groups during the school year. Truth in Jazz is a great public outlet for jazz, and I am glad to be a part of a group that is still out in the community performing and bringing jazz to our area!
